Trifecta Challenge

I’ve not done this in quite some time.  I’ve missed the Trifecta challenges.

WEEKEND CHALLENGE:

On to the weekend prompt.  This weekend we are asking for exactly 33 words, 30 of your own and three of the following:

topple     paradigm     underneath     nerve     honey     loop

He’s home now.

I’m alone in the dark.

Those on the outside looking in see stability.

Underneath, the reality is chaos.

“Honey, I have something to tell you.”

My carefully built walls topple.

Trifecta Challenge – Week 56

Weekend Trifecta Challenge is as follows:

This weekend we are playing another type of word game with you.  Below are photos from the 33rd page of one of our very favorite books, Elizabeth Strout’s Olive Kitteridge.  What we want you to do is to scour the page (click to enlarge), choose 33 words, and reshape those words into a piece of your own.  Your piece does not have to tell an entire story.  We just want to see what you can do with this particular word bank.  Punctuation is up to you.  Use whatever you need, whether or not it appears in the photos.

Bones hidden

Water, wind had touched her

Quietly, peering

He slowed

Discovering the child

He wrapped her…gentle and still

Sensation of relief

Panic then quiescence

Standing, umbrage gone

He returned
